An introduction to the science of sorting your DNA test results. Topics include best practices and ethics of working with DNA information, getting to know centimorgans (cMs), tips to sorting your matches, an overview of AncestryDNA’s tools.
Understanding DNA cMs and How to Determine Relationship
This workshop will give an overview of working with DNA Match’s shared cMs to help genealogists discover how DNA Matches may be related. Discussion will focus on how to interpret cMs to indicate how someone could or could not be related, the probabilities, and how their shared DNA could help place them in one’s family tree.

This workshop will explore resources that may help you locate clues to aid in tracing your immigrant ancestor back to their country of origin after they arrived in the U.S.
Getting the Most Our of Census Records
This presentation will help you glean extra details out of census records that you may have overlooked in your research. Census records were much more than just a list of names. Possibly discover if they served in the Civil War, revealed their actual street address, gave the total number of children they had, if they had any property, who their neighbors were and more.
